Myton Hospice undertook CT’s Strategic Review to assess their current internal IT operations and find out how their systems and infrastructure could be better utilised.
The Myton Hospices are leaders in compassionate end-of-life care, supporting people with terminal illness and their families. They focus on patient wellbeing and enhancing life when cure is no longer an option. In the last year, Myton Hospices supported over 1,700 people and families through their hospices, patient and family support services, and out in the community through ‘Myton at Home’.
How a Strategic IT Review can pave the way for efficiency
Myton Hospice highlighted the main goals of the review which were to confirm their systems aligned with industry best practices, specifically meeting Cyber Essentials and DSP Toolkit standards along with ensuring the robustness and security of their technological infrastructure. Additionally, Myton Hospice wanted an unbiased view of their current technological landscape, identifying areas for improvement and to determine if other hospices were facing similar challenges to gain useful insight into their industry.
We presented the findings and recommendations of the review in a workshop session with the Head of Corporate Resources and the internal IT management team at the hospice, we then issued detailed documentation of their review. Our discussion encompassed various areas such as compliance, processes, risks, strategic objectives, and potential improvements. Through our strategic review we conducted a detailed audit of their 365 licensing, assessed their security posture and network performance. Additionally, we provided valuable insights and guidance regarding their future technology plans and upcoming projects.
